Artist Bio

Hello and thanks for visiting my profile! In 2022, I transitioned from a long career in nursing to pursue my passion for art full-time, based here in Melbourne, Australia. I’ve embraced this new chapter by diving into workshops and courses with both Australian and international artists. Being a recipient of the John Withers Scholarship Program with the Victorian Pastel Society of Australia was a turning point for me, reigniting my love for creating with soft pastels.
As an emerging artist, I’m on a journey of exploration and discovery. I capture moments in time, using color and light to create impressionistic works that aim to evoke emotions and spark memories. My subjects range from a still life of garden flowers to a scene by the roadside, and I believe working from life helps me capture the nuances of color and light in a unique way.
Inspired by French and Australian Impressionists, I strive to create art that reflects this influence. It brings me joy when my work resonates on an emotional level, and I hope it does the same for you.
