Artwork Description

In creating this piece, I captured an ethereal moment with my model underwater. By seamlessly blending the water's reflections with the underwater world I have evoked a sense of serene transcendence. This photographic work reflects the freeing immersion into one's deeper self, akin to a tranquil dive into the soul's most peaceful depths. It's an invitation to bring the essence of tranquillity and introspective beauty into your space. Inspired by the beautiful reflections - the repeated butterfly or angel shapes - and the sensation of slowly stretching across the arms in the cool water - feeling free and unhurried. Named after a line in John Burroughs's poem "Waiting".

Taken during an underwater photo shoot at Bitter Springs, Mataranka, Northern Territory.
