‘Raining Glitter’

Fun and colour is what I want to portray in this painting. We all need to bring out and nurture our inner child, to lighten up, and bring much more colour, joy, and fun into our lives.

But there is also another message with this painting, and that is for the LGBTQI+ community. The message is that is that I see you, I hear you and I stand with you, and to not hide in the shadows anymore.

Kylie Minogue is an icon of the LGBTQI+ community and her song, which I have named this painting after, is just perfect!

I'm Kerry Sandhu, a self-taught acrylic and mixed-media artist with a passion for bringing vibrant, heartfelt art to life. Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, I made a big move to Darwin in January 2020—a change that opened my world to new colours, stories, and inspiration.

Every ANZAC Day (since 2016), I paint an original artwork to honour the fallen service men, women and animals, acknowledging their courage, sacrifice, and the ultimate price paid for our freedom.
