This watercolour shows the glorious orange trumpet-like blossom of the honeysuckle vine. It is painted over three distinct panels on the same sheet of watercolour paper, with aspects of the plant carried through to adjacent panels. In this way, it gives the impression of three dimensions, as if the plant is growing through a window.
