This bird used to visit daily for a feed. I painted it as a fledgling and again , in this one, as an adult.
I love the texture of the feathers and the subtlety of the colours. I deliberately added an abstract 'natural' background so that the subject is the focus of the work. This painting is matted and ready for framing.
