Hollow Vessel - "The Ocean brings wonderful delights and hidden treasures. Time decays all that sits still. We must always move forward in mind and spirit till the last fish has spoken" - Kevin Saunders

Hollow Vessel, I'm really proud of as it's a new stepping stone into a theme I dearly value. The environment and the cycle if life and death.

Why did I choose a fish for the subject matter? Well I do love the ocean and the peace of mind it brings , the rolling waves crashing, the beautiful organic calm waters, mesmerising to watch. It also a brings a fear and hence the cycle of life and death. the weathering of this fish representing the world we live in and the experience we have within it.

I would also like to let everyone know that I am currently working on doing limited prints of this painting, and hope to have one for sale in the next month or so (organising professional scanning at the moment)

I can't wait for you to see what the next painting that follows this them is. If you visit my Instagram site you will see the work in progress (hint: Butterfly instead of fish)
