Flowers with blue background

I noticed flowers go well with thickness of the oil paints and wanted to have an abstract background using a colour that I like to contrast with the more realistically painted flowers. The idea is to communicate the metaphor that life is temporary.

An emerging visual artist born in South Korea, immigrated to and grew up in New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Australia. Reflecting these changes in environment Kevin's practice is concerned with portraying places he has often visited in a interpretative way using traditional painting techniques in oil, acrylic and watercolour. He seeks to capture the beauty contained in the natural landscapes and in still life objects 'on site' to convey the visual zeitgeist.
