I was inspired by the pastel colours in the sky I can see during sunset and the shadows it casts in the cities. The brush strokes provide a sense of balance in the composition while the background with the lighter colours create a sense of depth that will suit a variety of styles of interior spaces. the brush strokes echo the shape of the canvas to create a harmony between the square shapes.

An emerging visual artist born in South Korea, immigrated to and grew up in New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Australia. Reflecting these changes in environment Kevin's practice is concerned with portraying places he has often visited in a interpretative way using traditional painting techniques in oil, acrylic and watercolour. He seeks to capture the beauty contained in the natural landscapes and in still life objects 'on site' to convey the visual zeitgeist.
