Wangi falls

I was inspired by the natural beauty of the tropical landscape of Litchfield near Darwin. As a popular tourist location I wanted to make it look less familiar by using a pointillism technique while capturing the unique colours and texture of the rocks and water.

An emerging visual artist born in South Korea, immigrated to and grew up in New Zealand and now based in Sydney, Australia. Reflecting these changes in environment Kevin's practice is concerned with portraying places he has often visited in a interpretative way using traditional painting techniques in oil, acrylic and watercolour. He seeks to capture the beauty contained in the natural landscapes and in still life objects 'on site' to convey the visual zeitgeist.
