This painting is based on the Japanese gardens in Toowoomba. The red colours of autumn give warmth to the scene and do well with the painted red bridge. The ducks swimming give peace and tranquility.
I am a hobby artist who enjoys painting in a realist style. Living on the coast‚ I am frequently inspired by seascapes or other landscapes involving water. In particular‚ I love the way light reflects off water‚ and this is often featured in my paintings.
