Evil Eye

This piece is inspired by the White Evil Eye which offers protection against negative energies and provides a sense of clarity. The background is quite textures and the edges are white (pictures may show as off white, however it is a titanium white that is used). Heavily detailed background by using a palette knife. Foreground is my version of an eye, with semi opaque white and pale blue lines.

Created to be hung portrait orientation.

There's a real joy for me in the process of creating, especially when it involves layering vibrant colours and textures.
My abstract explorations often involve a curiosity for dynamic lines, playful shapes, the depth of shading, and a natural sense of flow.
