About Me:
I grew up in Central Queensland in a small diverse multi cultural community in the famously known Gem Fields.
People from all walks of life migrated to the Sapphire Fields in search of striking it rich.
So many people with so many interesting stories, amazing times in the outback, living in an era of untold freedom.
I attended Boarding School in Emerald.

So How Did I Get Into Photography?
I asked the teacher what sports can we play? He said Cricket !!
Well I was hopeless at cricket, I hated standing around in the blistering hot sun and wasn't keen on somebody throwing a rock hard ball at me at high speed !!
So I asked the teacher what else can I do?
He said "Photography Classes" so off I went not knowing that day would profoundly change my life forever in a very special way.
I learned the ropes of Black & White Photography, had my own darkroom and took a camera everywhere I went. I shot my first wedding at 16 years of age and some years later opened my own photography business in Emerald. Fast forward 20 years I had shot 100's of weddings, experienced the Mini Lab Era Developing & Printing Photos in an Hour.
Being the only photographer in town and the surrounding townships I had to be versatile at every possible skill.
Self taught is a great teacher as there was no 'YouTube' back then.
Little did I realise at the time that I had learned to adapt fast to changing times. Today I can safely say I enjoy being able to create artwork with a variety of numerous genres as I enjoy the challenges, the constant learning, thinking outside the square, and daring to be different.
Photography has always been my passion and I thank you for following my story and I hope that the images I create bring you immense enjoyment.
