Kim Harding was born in 1971 living in remote, far north Queensland, the third child to a farming family. As a 4-year-old, Kim travelled with her family to live on an island in the Phillippines where shoes and phones and even TV were unheard of and study by correspondence was the only option for education.
She moved back to Australia in 1981 at the age of 10 to live on a cattle and wheat station near Goondiwindi, QLD, attending boarding school and then going on to study Graphic and Website design.
Kim started her art career in her first few years out of school and finally after overseas travel and marrying the love of her life, settled near Mudgee, NSW on a sheep property with her husband and three children. In 2021 Kim was finally able to dedicate herself to being a full time artist.
Kim works primarily with oil onto canvas from her studio on-farm. Kim’s work is contemporary and representational, works are inspired by everyday items, found objects, people and animals.
