Artist Bio

Many of my earliest memories revolve around art, watching my father paint - only horses and staring up lost in the paintings on the walls of my grandparents house on the family grazing property in the wild country of the Monaro, to the North Shore in Sydney, back and forth, we had the best of both worlds. Three children and work took most of my time and opportunities to practice were spread thinly for many years. A 'temporary' move to Burleigh Heads, Qld 28 years ago still has me firmly entrenched. Annual travel through Europe for work mostly in France and Italy and the opportunities to visit so many outstanding galleries, the studios of Renoir, Monet and co rekindled the desire to seize the day and spend more time painting and creating. Unapologetically self taught, with a workshop here and there over the years, I remain a dabbler, rotating thru sculpture, drawing, printmaking, mosaic, painting and back again. Haven't settled for any particular style of painting, just follow the whim and vision of the moment. A few commissioned mosaic murals notwithstanding I paint mainly for pleasure.
