Artist Bio

Usually comfortable in the realms of Jewellery Design, Kim has delved into depicting the luminescence, grace and character of Eucalyptus trees of South Australia. Hailing from Aldinga Beach on Kaurna country, she has meandered the remnant paths of the Aldinga scrub almost daily for the last 15 years. What began as a therapeutic connection to country through enjoying the immediacy of pencil to paper, she has connected deeply with the unique pattern language of the Eucalypts in the Aldinga scrub and in River Red Gums in Willunga and the Flinders Ranges. This small collection of works in gouache depict this luminous sensual connection through the use of neon prismacolor and the mostly softened tones of these wild places.

Works have been treated with a wax medium to protect gouache from minor spills.
