An axolotyl with roses , a play on words axl rose rockstar. Salamander translated means living flesh , it’s a piece about regeneration and trial by fire , roses represent blooming.
I have studied part time at The Julian Ashton art school and Waverley art school. I create mostly figurative art, I had a strong desire to capture light in painting. I am led to paint certain subjects intuitively and many of my subjects are based in folklore and have a spiritual meaning . I also hope to use some of the images to create a children’s book .
