Artwork Description

A medieval fair . It starts at the base a woman surrounded by children and animals who sits by the water channeling energy from her hands as a healer . The little girl nearby has found a four leaf clover representing new luck . The black sheep next to her representing the persecuted. The psychic readings shows people looking for guidance and a girl absently looking at her phone . The couple by the fire are fire elements and the man is juggling his fire whilst looking away from his partner while she patiently reads . The man selling alcohol is feeling low in mood and unimpressed. The woman cloaked in green is seeking the earth and wisdom from elders . The band and dancers swirling represent air and movement. Also joy in the community , the man riding into town is new promise . Behind as they head towards the light is a tavern depicting the Golden Fleece and behind a rainbow indicating gods promise . The painting was slightly influenced by Bruegel .

Artist Bio

I have studied part time at The Julian Ashton art school and Waverley art school.
I create mostly figurative art, I had a strong desire to capture light in painting.
I am led to paint certain subjects intuitively and many of my subjects are based in folklore and have a spiritual meaning .
I also hope to use some of the images to create a children’s book .
