Moon window

Set in a Morrocan style of mud house a woman approaching a large window as if to walk through it . She has a rooster next to her which spiritually is connected to protection from demons in folklore . She is being shielded whilst making the most of opening opportunities. A window is carved out of the mud above her symbolising the unknown .

I have studied part time at The Julian Ashton art school and Waverley art school.
I create mostly figurative art, I had a strong desire to capture light in painting.
I am led to paint certain subjects intuitively and many of my subjects are based in folklore and have a spiritual meaning .
I also hope to use some of the images to create a children’s book .
