New surroundings

This artwork is influenced by an image of a handmade fairy toy which I have painted and added a koi fish . Koi fish jump up to survey their new surroundings . I painted this during my first solo exhibit and feel it is a message on trying to gage your new environment. Also having help and guides from other realms . I also think it can be a play on the big fish in a small pond saying .

I have studied part time at The Julian Ashton art school and Waverley art school.
I create mostly figurative art, I had a strong desire to capture light in painting.
I am led to paint certain subjects intuitively and many of my subjects are based in folklore and have a spiritual meaning .
I also hope to use some of the images to create a children’s book .
