Artwork Description

“Self-Love Hits Different” by Kiran Mehta

This painting shows a bright, happy bouquet of flowers, full of soft pinks, whites, and warm colours. The loose brushstrokes make the flowers feel alive, gentle, and full of joy.

The vase seems to glow, as if the light is coming from inside the flowers themselves — just like the glow we feel when we start giving ourselves the love we deserve. The warm background and fresh greens add a sense of comfort and calm.

“Self-Love Hits Different” is a reminder that we can bloom beautifully when we choose to care for ourselves. It’s about feeling worthy, feeling peaceful, and letting your heart open the way these flowers do.

This artwork comes varnished in satin finish and framed with a black floating frame. The artwork is ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

I am a Canberra-based artist creating contemporary impressionistic works inspired by colour, nature, and emotional resilience. My practice is deeply intuitive, drawing on bold, luminous hues influenced by my Indian heritage and the expansive Australian landscape.

My artistic journey began as a form of healing during a transformative period in my life, where painting became both refuge and expression. Through layered textures, organic mark making, and expressive brushstrokes, my work explores themes of joy, spirituality, and connection to the natural world.

I work across multiple mediums including acrylics, oil pastels, charcoal, and inks, allowing each piece to evolve through experimentation and instinct. I often begin with a prayer or affirmation, embedding intention into the surface of the canvas. My aim is to create immersive works that invite reflection, warmth, and a quiet sense of uplift.
