Artwork Description

This artwork is an abstract exploration of colour, shape and pattern. Layered forms overlap to create a landscape-like arrangement without representing a specific place. I experimented with colour, repeated shapes and marks to create depth and movement. The work developed intuitively through play with colour, shape and layering.

I'm a Queensland artist working primarily in acrylics. I enjoy exploring the relationships between colour, shape and pattern, allowing each painting to evolve naturally rather than following a fixed outcome. Alongside my art practice, I teach visual art, and the balance between making and teaching continues to shape the way I approach creativity. My work is driven by a love of colour, experimentation and the possibilities that emerge through the painting process.
