Artwork Description

Driving up to Mt Donna Buang, I drove around a corner and in front was a wall of Mountain Ash. The golden glow of the early morning sun lit them from the side and I had a moment of deep awe and wonder for these ancient living beings. It made me feel powerful that we are connected to so much, to each other, to beauty, to chaos, to our Ancestors going all the way back. Everything is both important and not - we can just be. It is in just being that we are great. Like the beautiful Mountain Ash glowing in the sun, watching for years as the world goes by.

Aroha means love in Maori.
