"Whimsy" shows a whimsical land; untouched, odd, maybe a little strange, maybe even a little creepy but always full of wonder. There are abstract representations of familiar trees - palm trees, eucalyptus but also abstract representations of landscape that is different and comes direct from the imagination. My intention with this painting was to escape, to paint a vast landscape that is whimsical and comes from the realms of my imagination.

This painting is bright and bold with a lot of detail from the various lines and markings throughout the piece. "Whimsy" is a medium sized painting, 36" x 24" or 92cm x 62cm and would suit a space also of medium size. The painting needs to be viewed both at a distance and up close to truly appreciate the detail and composition.
