Artwork Description

My landscapes explore humanities mark making on the land. Fences, roads, crops, livestock and increasingly intense storm systems, alongside echoes of ancient wonders like dormant volcanoes and relics of forests, reminding us they once ruled.
In this piece, Gurutjanga, or Mount Kooroocheang in Victoria's Central Highlands is a dormant volcano, sitting silently for now with its thousands of years of wisdom, keeping watch over canola fields and country roads.
