My work is influenced by my diverse life I have led, the country verses the city… bright colours and contemporary ideas of the city mixed with the unique birds, animals and fauna of Australia. I have my degree in fine art majoring in painting. Even though my painting is expressionistic, I still like to occasionally dabble in realism, as I find it tightens my focus and then my perspective improves.
I studied fine art in 1993 at Deakin University Warrnambool. I chose Warrnambool to be be closer to nature and I could also have a horse, another passion of mine. Whilst studying at Deakin with little money, I bought a cockatoo in a cage and set it free over the Sand doons in Warrnambool. This symbolism has remained with me for all my life as I love animals to have the freedom they deserve. . Since then, I have had over 20 exhibitions and have sold paintings internationally and Australia wide. . I have studio in Sunbury and visitors are most welcome.
