Katy K is a Sydney based artist who has been painting since she was in pigtails. Her love for all things creative, colourful and crafty only grew with the years. She has won many awards, sold many paintings, taught Art for decades , attended many courses .... but her proudest achievement (other than her two sons) is the fact that she is self-taught. Paint, sweat and tears and the classic ..... practise, practise, practise.
Katy K believes EVERYONE has a creative chip in them. Everyone. And wishes they would just allow themselves to give art a chance :)
While watercolours is her first love, she is now equally friendly with acrylics. And while she is besotted with flowers, her subject matter ranges depending on her mood. But one thing stays constant .... her paintings are always impulsive. And every now and then if you're lucky enough .... you will get a chance to purchase one of her quirkier creations.
