When I started this painting, I wanted to represent the joyful colour nature can give us through her flowers, fruits and even her insects, None of the plants I've painted are strictly botanically correct, either in colour or structure, but I've made a painting that makes me smile - I hope it has the same effect on you.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I grew up in England(technically I’m a cockney) with a mother who was a photographer teacher and a jewellery maker father, so from childhood I was exposed to, and in love with colour, shape and form, but it took until I retired from full time work to really begin to experiment and practise my passion as an artist.
I emigrated to Australia in 1965, joined the , then, embryonic advertising industry as a Media Strategist and of course found romance and married an Aussie with his own business, hence finding the time to paint was very rare.
I have worked in alll mediums - pastels, ink, pencil, oils and acrylics, but I’m now concentrating on acrylics.
The work and style of my paintings is and has been a continuous “work in progress”, with constant experimentation with subject matter, texture and form to find something that I can almost say “it’s finished” and I’m content.
I'm currently experimenting with different techniques and colour palettes to extend and loosen my style.
