Artwork Description

‘Heather’ is captivating in its vibrancy, this abstract contemporary painting portrays the head and shoulders of a woman adorned in a patterned turban embellished with textured flowers.

With rosy cheeks and chunky earrings, her presence exudes vitality against a backdrop of intricate penned patterns. Featuring a dynamic blend of reds, greens, blues, and yellows, this 50cm x 50cm acrylic on canvas piece brings a burst of colour to any space.

Designed to stand out individually or harmonize within a collection, it promises to captivate art lovers and collectors alike.

Inspired by my passion for property and interior design, each piece is crafted to enliven any space, whether minimalist or maximalist.

Perfect to complement home decor, these vibrant artworks are the perfect antidote to dull rooms, adding a splash of colour and personality to neutral interiors or enhancing the boldness of maximalist designs.

Artist Bio

Krissy Jenkins is a Brisbane-based Artist who works predominantly in Acrylic but loves experimentation of materials, in her mediums and supports. Krissy, is currently a student at Queensland College of Art working on her Bachelor of Fine Arts, while creating Art at her Spring Hill loft.

While Krissy has always been creative, it wasn’t until she was introduced to Art therapy for a long-term battle with mental health that she found her passion for drawing and painting. It was in Art that she found a reprieve and what will be a life-long passion.

Krissy is focussed in the details of the life that surrounds her and in particular the World as she would have it, not necessarily as it actually is. A world filled with vibrant and neon colours, patterns and happiness.

She expresses her Art with intense backgrounds, symbols of life and love and resemblances of the people she paints. Krissy herself is often the subject of her own artworks.

She is also interested in drawing, oil paints, collage, glass and metal, creative journaling and black and white photography.
