Pause came from a moment of intentional stillness — a decision to slow down and sit with what usually passes unnoticed. I was thinking about the space between movement and rest, where emotion softens but doesn’t disappear.

I worked with muted coral and cool blue to hold that tension — warmth and calm existing at the same time. The surface carries subtle fractures because stillness, for me, is never empty or perfect. It’s layered, textured, and quietly alive.

This painting isn’t about a place or a story. It’s about that suspended moment — the breath between thoughts — and the quiet clarity that lives there.
