Artist Bio

While being best known for her large-scale artwork projects and background in architecture and interior design, Kristina Knox shares her passion for creating with unique vibrant and colourful painting style. Her art demonstrates the dynamic energy of vivid colours and the spontaneous boldness of brushstrokes, capturing unique and dramatic compositions. Through the use of acrylics and extra experimental mediums (such as soft gels, heavy impasto and crackle paste) she creates expressive and multi-layered art that extends in multiple dimensions.
One of the most favourite themes for Kristina is a cityscape, originating in her architectural background. She creates dynamic cityscapes, capturing the nature of the built environment she’s portraying.
Within her unique approach, Kristina likes to investigate various styles and levels of realism and abstraction. While preferring a more realistic and soft approach to still-life paintings, she reaches for more abstract stylistic choices for her cityscapes. Being adventurous by nature, this artist likes to explore various themes and styles of painting, discovering the nature of her next piece as she goes.
