Painting portraiture gives the artist many uninterrupted hours with the subject. In my painting “Froth Lords” I’ve used the many hours spent painting a portrait to reflect on our relationship.
“Froth Lords” is about my admiration for the subject, the strength a partner can carry for the other despite their own struggles. Sean is looking into the sunset, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the stability, security and endless belly laughs I’ve found here with him.
