I aim to evoke a sense of appreciation for the delicate beauty that surrounds us, encouraging the viewer to pause and acknowledge the profound interplay between human endeavor and the majesty of the natural world. In this harmonious coexistence lies a timeless reminder of our responsibility to cherish and preserve the delicate balance of our shared home, Earth.
The juxtaposition of the bonsai with the glass water jug, adorned with freshly sliced cucumber and kiwi fruit, accentuates the harmony between the cultivated and the organic. The glass jug symbolizes the human desire for sustenance and nourishment, while the cucumber and kiwi fruits represent the gifts bestowed by nature.

Kristina Wood, an artist who recently returned to her creative roots, has embarked on a painting journey following a hiatus from her artistic practice. With an Honours Degree in sculpture from art school in the early 2000s, she temporarily set aside her creative pursuits due to the challenges of sustaining a livelihood. Yet, the undeniable truth emerged that a truly enriching life requires the pursuit of creativity.
