“Breaking Through” is an abstract exploration of emergence and resilience. The canvas is dominated by a richly textured field of white, layered, uneven, and tactile, suggesting both stillness and resistance. Within this expanse, fragments of colour begin to surface. Shades of blue and green push through the white in irregular, organic forms, as though something beneath the surface is slowly revealing itself.
The blues range from soft, atmospheric washes to deeper, more saturated tones, evoking depth and movement, while the greens introduce a sense of vitality and renewal. These colours do not overwhelm the white; instead, they interrupt it, appearing in bursts, streaks, and subtle fissures that feel both deliberate and spontaneous.
The composition carries a quiet tension between concealment and revelation. The white space acts as both barrier and backdrop, allowing the emerging colours to feel like moments of breakthrough, glimpses of energy, growth, and transformation. Through texture, contrast, and restrained colour, “Breaking Through” captures the moment when something hidden begins to assert its presence, gently but unmistakably reshaping the surface.
