Distant Land

Distant Land evokes the quiet, dreamlike beauty of a landscape glimpsed through mist and fading light. A soft white veil drifts across the surface, partially obscuring rolling hills and creating a sense of distance, mystery, and atmosphere.
Beyond the veil, subtle tones of soft blush, violet, brown, cream, and black emerge like fragments of a landscape at sunset. A gentle glow lingers on the horizon, suggesting the last warmth of daylight as the land gradually dissolves into shadow.

The hazy layers invite the viewer to look slowly and discover what lies beyond the surface. Distant Land is an exploration of memory, longing, and the emotional pull of places that feel just out of reach, a landscape remembered as much through feeling as through sight.
This artwork is an original painting, I use artist grade acrylic paints, and high quality archival satin varnish to produce a beautiful subtle sheen and provide UV protection.
Each artwork has a hanging wire fitted.
The detailed technique used to create this artwork produces a soft textural element which adds depth and intricate details.
My heart and soul goes into every artwork, it is my passion to bring colour and emotion into the canvas and hope to bring much joy into your surroundings.

Kristine Jambor is an abstract artist whose work celebrates the vibrancy and emotional resonance of colour. Deeply influenced by the lush landscapes of the Northern Rivers, her paintings capture the shifting moods, rhythms, and atmospheres of place through expressive, layered compositions.

Drawing inspiration from the great Expressionist artists, Kristine approaches abstraction as a language of feeling, using colour, mark-making, and texture to evoke the sensory experience of nature rather than its literal form.
