Artwork Description

“Emberlight” captures the quiet beauty of illumination emerging from darkness. A vast midnight blue sky stretches across the canvas, animated by subtle points of light that softly glow through the layered surface, creating a sense of depth and atmosphere. Below, a tranquil sandy foreground provides a calming foundation, its muted tones offering a gentle contrast to the richness of the sky above. In the distance, textured forms hover along the horizon, suggesting a landscape that is both familiar and elusive.

Through its restrained palette and tactile surface, “Emberlight” evokes a feeling of stillness and contemplation. The delicate interplay between darkness and light speaks to moments of quiet resilience, the faint glow that remains long after the day has faded. Balancing serenity with mystery, the painting invites viewers to pause and reflect, finding beauty in subtle transitions and the enduring presence of light within the night.

This artwork is an original painting, I use artist grade acrylic paints, and high quality archival satin varnish to produce a beautiful subtle sheen and provide UV protection.
Each artwork has a hanging wire fitted.
The detailed technique used to create this artwork produces a soft textural element which adds depth and intricate details.
My heart and soul goes into every artwork, it is my passion to bring colour and emotion into the canvas and hope to bring much joy into your surroundings.
The photos although I do my best to capture the true beauty of the artwork, they look more vibrant and stunning in person.

Artist Bio

Kristine Jambor is an abstract artist whose work celebrates the vibrancy and emotional resonance of colour. Deeply influenced by the lush landscapes of the Northern Rivers, her paintings capture the shifting moods, rhythms, and atmospheres of place through expressive, layered compositions.

Drawing inspiration from the great Expressionist artists, Kristine approaches abstraction as a language of feeling, using colour, mark-making, and texture to evoke the sensory experience of nature rather than its literal form. Each piece becomes a dialogue between the external landscape and the artist’s inner world, translating light, movement, and emotion into visual energy.

Kristine’s practice is a continual exploration of colour’s power to communicate beyond words. Her work represents a vibrant meditation on the beauty and vitality of the Northern Rivers environment.
