“Emergence” unfolds as a layered meditation on growth and transformation, rendered through a palette of deep greens, earthen browns, and muted blues. Short, interrupted brushstrokes scatter and accumulate across the canvas, each mark appearing momentary yet deliberate. These fragments overlap in shifting rhythms, creating pockets of depth where colors mingle, recede, or push forward.
The greens suggest organic ascent, like new life surfacing through soil, while the browns anchor the composition with a grounded, tactile warmth. Blues drift between them, cooling and opening space, hinting at distance or air. As the strokes intersect and diverge, they form an abstract landscape that feels both constructed and continually in the process of becoming.
The viewer is drawn to follow the motion of the brushwork, tracing the tension between fragmentation and cohesion. The painting ultimately embodies its title: a quiet, persistent unfolding, where complexity arises from the meeting of color, texture, and interrupted movement.
This artwork is an original painting, I use artist grade acrylic paints, and high quality archival satin varnish to produce a beautiful subtle sheen and provide UV protection.
Each artwork has a hanging wire fitted.
The detailed technique used to create this artwork produces a soft textural element which adds depth and intricate details.
