After the Rains Landscape

Trying some different colourways with this abstract landscape. All my abstract landscapes come from my memories of the bush, especially on the way to Roma from Warwick, which my family did many times, as my Mum went to school there and my Grandmother lived there. Always an adventure when I was young, with Mum packing lunches and cordials for the 7 of us and a Thermos for Dad and herself, and I'm sure the kitchen sink! Many stops also as the car radiator always seemed to boil. Dad also carried lots of water. lol.
Saw many different landscapes, through Droughts and Floods.

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.
