Magpie Blues

My favourite bird yet again! This is Mr P who comes in every morning for a little feed of oats. He usually brings Mrs P and baby Tina along with him. I sit at the front window and watch them have a little feed and a drink of fresh water, which I put out every day. They are always joined by Crows, Minor Birds, Crested Pigeons and an occasional Lorikeet. I love watching them and they are very clean. Not a scrap left!

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.
