Original Artwork's Description

The Magpie Robin, or oriental Magpie Robin as they are also known, is just the cutest little guy. They are distinctive black and white birds with a long tail that is held upright as they forage on the ground or perch conspicuously. Occurring across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, they are common birds in urban gardens as well as forests. They are particularly well known for their songs and were once popular as cagebirds.
The oriental magpie-robin is considered as the national bird of Bangladesh.
I loved painting him combining an abstract background style with realism. He is so much "more" in person.

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
