Artwork Description

I love to capture those fleeting moments of contemplation through my paintings. You know that feeling when someone pauses, lost in thought, with new glasses just dangling from their hand? That’s the kind of scene I love to explore.

This work delves into the quiet depth of a faraway look, set against the stark simplicity of a black background. It’s like the world fades away, leaving just the subject and their thoughts. I use acrylics to bring these portraits to life, focusing on the expressions and the little details that tell a bigger story.

There’s something incredibly fascinating about the way a face can communicate so much without saying a word. Every brushstroke is a step into the silent dialogue of the subject’s inner world. It’s intimate, it’s personal, and it’s endlessly inspiring.

Thanks for taking a moment to step into my world.

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
