Morning Swim

As soon as I saw this photo ( used with permission), I knew that I had to get her on the canvas. I love that the decor of pool, in the greens and yellows of Australia, are reflected in the pool creating a whirl of amazing colours and patterns in the water. The girl has the most amazing eyes, they seem to see into your soul. Very much my favourite work to date.

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.
