Artwork Description

I'm excited to share my journey into the vibrant world of abstract painting with you. Life has a funny way of steering you in new directions, and for me, a worsening case of arthritis became a catalyst for change. As my hands demanded a gentler approach, I found solace and freedom in the boundless possibilities of abstract art.

My work is a celebration of colour, shapes, and emotions, where each piece becomes a personal exploration of sensation and expression. Gold, with its warm glow and timeless allure, dances through all my new artworks, adding a touch of elegance and richness. It's a colour that speaks to me deeply, and I adore how it pairs beautifully with soft pastel tones. Together, they create a harmonious blend that feels both soothing and invigorating.

Abstract painting offers me the chance to communicate in ways that words often can't. It's about capturing the essence of a moment, a feeling, or a fleeting thought, and translating it onto canvas. Every brushstroke is a reflection of my journey, and I invite you to join me in exploring these colourful landscapes of the mind.

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
