Artwork Description

In this piece, I wield my rounded palette knife like a magic wand, conjuring whimsical patterns inch by inch across the canvas, as a backdrop.

The blues in my work are not just a colour choice; they are the backdrop of a delightful story. Picture this: a serene sea of blue, until a mischievous splash of black decided to crash the party. Instead of wiping it away, I embraced it—a rebellious smudge that sparked an idea. With a wink and a nod to serendipity, I added bold shapes of black and green, creating a lively dance against the tranquil blue.

My process is a playful conversation between chaos and control, where spills become strokes of genius and every canvas holds a secret waiting to be discovered. So, come, let your eyes wander and your imagination take the lead. Who knows? You might just find a happy accident of your own along the way.

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
