Artwork Description

I'm thrilled to share my latest series that dives into the heart and soul of the outback. I've always been captivated by the vibrant reds, earthy ochres, and rich browns that make the outback so mesmerizing. It’s not just a landscape; it’s a feeling, a raw and untamed spirit that I've tried to capture in my work.

This series is all about bringing that stark beauty into the abstract realm, where the familiar hues of the outback dance across large canvases. Each piece is a journey, inviting you to lose yourself in the sweeping expanses and rugged textures that define this incredible part of the world. I’ve taken a relaxed approach, letting the colours guide me and allowing the paintings to evolve naturally.

Through abstract forms and bold strokes, I hope to evoke the outback’s timeless allure and its ever-changing light. It’s about celebrating the land’s vastness and its intimate details, all at once. So, come and explore the outback through my eyes—let's see where this adventure takes us!

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
