Artwork Description

The eagle, cloaked in ochres and browns, glides through my thoughts. Its profile, a testament to strength and elegance, becomes the heart of my creation, a symbol of freedom soaring amidst the vast skies of my homeland. My palette is rich with the earth’s own colors—ochre, sienna, and burnt umber—each shade a whisper from the outback, a story of resilience and grace.

In painting the Wedgetailed Eagle, I endeavor to transcend mere representation, reaching instead for an essence, an evocation of the spirit that binds bird to sky and artist to canvas. As you stand before my work, may you feel the rush of wind beneath powerful wings and the call of the wild that unites us all.

Artist Bio

I'm Julie, an artist living in beautiful Hervey Bay. My art journey is all about capturing the essence of everyday moments and the wonders of nature that surround us. I find inspiration in the little things – from the way sunlight filters through leaves to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves.

Every painting I create is a piece of my soul and heart laid bare. I don’t plan too much; I just paint what moves me on that particular day. It’s a very personal process, and I paint primarily for myself, but knowing that my work has found homes around the world is a feeling like no other.

I love that my pieces resonate with others and bring a touch of Hervey Bay’s beauty and my own perspective into their lives. So, welcome to my world – I hope you find a bit of your own story in my art.
