Artwork Description

This is a layered mixed media painting made with oil paint, acrylic, wax medium, pastels, and graphite on wood panel.

It acts as a meditation on spring’s quiet awakenings. The golden blush of wattle lining the suburban streets, of new quiet chatter of baby birds, and the emergence of small blossoms here. These influences all drift into the work as fleeting impressions, moving through them using bold colour and texture.

Krystle Anne Venal is a multidisciplinary emerging artist and poet whose abstract paintings serve as a meditative exploration of her subconscious.
