This is one of my most appreciated works. I have worked on it for many months, studying the work and its history and its details. I use traditional methods of painting which include many glazed layers to achieve realistic qualities. This is one of the best copies that exist of “LADY WITH AN ERMINE,” painted by Leonardo da Vinci. Made carefully by hand, and painted on hardwood with expensive high-quality artist grade oil paints. An archival protective varnish is applied over the painting. The painting is on sale excluding the frame (the frame included in the picture is for demonstration purpose only).
This original first painting was painted from 1489–1490. Behind this high renaissance painting, Leonardo’s symbolism of the ermine’s white fur emphasises the purity of the lady. The Princes Czartoryski Collection, including the Lady with an Ermine, was sold for €100 million on 29 December 2016 to the Polish government. It is currently exhibited in the National Museum in Krakow, Poland.
