I have a great love of Australian birds and enjoy their bold personalities and boisterous squawking.
This portrait of a sulphur crested cockatoo has been painted with a minimalistic colour palette of payneโs gray, white and gold as a contrast to their more colourful character. A major focus of this work was in the fine feather detail. The regal nature of this proud bird is suggested via the metallic gold floral pattern backdrop.
