Artwork Description

Open Terrain by Kylie Daniel

This beautiful rustic abstract landscape is full of textures and draws the image of the open terrain.

A Google search of open terrain

“ Open terrain, open country or open ground is terrain which is mostly flat and free of obstructions such as trees and buildings. Examples include farmland, grassland and specially cleared areas”

Strong black colour indicates the base and foundation and the earthy browns and creams devotes the vastness of the land, the rough texture, the emptiness and the substrate of the territory.

I love working with these neutral tones. They will work on any wall colour or decor and look great in any part of your home.

I try and bring the rawness of the land in my art. The typical landscape painting has beautiful blue skies, the greenest of green grass and brilliant blue water.

The painted natural raw landscape is highly underrated and one that I like to draw your attention to.

It is, after all, what we started with.

If you can’t physically get to the Australian outback, then I hope my artworks can help you imagine just what it looks like.
