Kylie Davis is a multidisciplinary artist based in Busselton, Western Australia. Her artistic journey began with a strong educational foundation, having studied a Certificate IV in Visual Art and Craft at Central TAFE Fremantle, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Curtin University. With a diverse background in art, she managed the Studio Art Gallery, Yallingup, for a year and has been dedicated to nurturing the creativity of students as a Secondary Art teacher across Perth and the South West since 2010.
The natural beauty of Kylie's surroundings serves as a continuous source of inspiration for her art. She finds solace and creativity in the world around her, infusing her pieces with the essence of her local environment. Her work is a celebration of the endless possibilities that her chosen mediums offer.
While her current focus primarily lies in the realms of realistic pencil and acrylic portraiture, she also employs a loose and expressive approach in her mixed media works on canvas and paper, often exploring landscapes and flora.
"I am a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys exploring a variety of mediums and subject matter. I have always been drawn to expressive mixed media artwork; however, most recently, I have begun to focus on creating more realistic details in my work, particularly in portraiture. After 13 years of dedicating myself to art education, I am now devoting more time to my personal artistic pursuits. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the evolution of my work and sharing my progress and passion with the community."
